{"id":119,"date":"2023-11-22T21:23:49","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T21:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/magazines.westernu.edu\/future-of-medicine\/?p=119"},"modified":"2024-02-21T00:22:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T00:22:22","slug":"one-path-towards-residency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/magazines.westernu.edu\/future-of-medicine\/one-path-towards-residency\/","title":{"rendered":"One Path Towards Residency: Uniquely Osteopathic"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wysiwyg-content\">\n  <p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In 2014, The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) announced an agreement to move toward a single system for accrediting residency programs. The change officially took place July 1, 2020.
